First of all, welcome to Texas. Where in Canada are you from?

Might give us a little more detail of Beltline Rd in Dallas. It's a big city, and Beltline is a long road.

What in tackle needs are you looking for?

Hey thanks guys, I'll be in the Addison area. Man that is some kind of smoker you have in the picture. ...holy...
I'd like to see a smallie shop if possible...
To answer your question I'm from New Brunswick Canada.
Also, I have booked a guide on Ray Roberts, is that good fishing?

Is Barlow's still open? Used to be a great tackle shop.

Can't go wrong with Academy. It's getting to be where you can't throw a dead cat in the metroplex without hitting an Academy.

If RR ain't the best all around Lake in North Texas it ain't far behind. Good choice.

5151 Beltline is the Prestonwood Tower building at Beltline and Dallas North Tollway (my wife works in that building).

From that location, other than BPS, Barlow's on US 75 (Central) and Academy on the Tollway and Parker are your best bets. Barlow's is a little bit of a haul, but not bad for around here.

These guys are right on with their choices for you. If you are driving and coming down I-75 there is a Gander Mtn. in Sherman. Enjoy and Hello.

WOW, I'll be in NB in July and early August just out of Fredericton! My wife is from Minto and we'll be visiting for 2 weeks!

Tried to find out about some of the smallie fishin in the area. I know of the Head Pond and the lakes down around the MacAdam area although I've never fished there. I have fished Maine a lot though. Especially interested in the St John River below Fredericton and even Grand Lake as I'll have potentially some access to a small aluminum boat (15') that is on the lower Grand Lake area. Any info?

You'll go nuts in BPS ... bring the credit card!

Welcome to Texas! I recommend a trip to Fork and Guide Jimmy Everett if possible. Gonna be hot though! If you ever make it down to Sam Rayburn I'd be glad to take you out!

Beltline was the first loop around the metroplex.

That place really exists? grin

It has been the listed repair center on the warranty card of every reel I have purchased for the last thirty years.
