Planning on night fishing Ray Roberts tonight and trying to locate a bait store that sales minnows. Would prefer store to be north of Interstate 35 merge and on the west side of lake, if possible.

Take Exit 478 (Sanger Exit). There's a place called the Snap Shop right there across from the Shell station once you come to the light after you exit.

If not, then turn right and go to the next stop sign (you'll be heading east on what turns into 455). There is another bait store/gas station right there on the left side of the intersection (forgot it's name).

Finally, if you stay on 455 (pass the turn off to RayBob marina), you'll come up to a store called the "Dam store"(right before you get to the west side of the dam). They sell minners also.

Or, you can go one exit further North off of I-35W (exit for HWY 3002). There's suppose to be a new one there right after you exit, or you can turn right on 3002 and there's another bait store on the right side before you get to the first bridge.

That's 5 total bait stores on the "west side" of the lake I told you about. Hope that helps you. Good luck and good fishing. They're tearing up the crappie and sandies on minners right now on RR.

There are a couple along 377 as well that I have seen. Most of the gas stations I believe sell minnows along 377 through Pilot point. I just don't tend to use minnow much. Maybe I should.

the snap shot is the only place to get ur minnow. they will always give u more than u order. they r great people there and have the best sandwiches also.

Agree.. the Snap Shop has the best quality minnows, and they'll toss ya some extra.
