Jackson Hill. You can rent a cabin and boat slot. Catfish Junction is just down the road.

The old Twin Dikes Marina too right by the dam. And the Stump Restaraunt is right there ... great food and plenty of it! http://www.twindikesmarina.com/sys-tmpl/door/Here's another. Powell Park. http://www.powellpark.com/TYhese are the 2 with easy access to food along with Jackson Hill which is about 2-3 miles out of Broadus which have a couple of pretty good eatin joints plus their little cafe.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

Yup RayBob is right on, besides that's three out of the only four places you can leave your boat in the water. If you go to Shirely Creek, be sure you don't leave anything you would like to have in the morning, in your boat???????????????????? Only fill your truck tank to 1/2 or less too.

Stay at the Bass Buster Inn. Have to put boat on trailer each day, but close to the ramp. The Stump is just up the road.

Don't stay at Jackson Hill if you intend to get up early and fish! Karaoke Friday nts. until midnight and live music until 1:00 A.M. on Saturday-? I have never been so disgusted in all my life!

My husband & I stay at Jeff Buchanan's place. He actually has a lodge right on the road that heads into Jackson Hill real close to the ramp if you go out of there. Then he has a cabin behind the lodge that is perfect for a couple or 2 couples. Very cozy. He told me today that the lodge and the cabin both have wireless internet now. The website is www.jeffbuchananrealty.com. Jeff and his wife are both excellent hosts.
