Recently I posted a request for help in solving a fuel flow restirction problem I was having when I "SWITCHED" from one tank to my second tank. When I switched to the full tank it would run for about 20-30 seconds and then my warning horn would sound indicating a fuel restriction problem.

Anyone want to guess what my problem was??? Big clue "SWITHCHED" ........... Anybody have a guess???

If you guessed that I was turning off the fuel rather than switching to the full tank you are correct. I have had this boat for 6 years and have switched tanks no telling how many times.

It happens to the best of us. I can remember one of my boats several years ago, flooding it out trying to start it. Finally my dad goes, "checked the kill switch". I had pulled it out by accident.

LOL!! Kill switch has gotten me before too! actually drove the boat back to my dads for further diagnosis... he of course walked right over and looked at me with a grin " Did you try hooking up the killshitch, dipshiet?!?! " LOL!!! DOH!

Seen the kill switch thing many times at the ramp,done it my self.

Don't worry. That one doesn't even get close to getting on my Wall of Shame. I've got some real good stories of stuff we've seen come through here.

How about installing a new bilge and using screws too long and screwing it into the bunk of the trailer? Then ripping a foot and a half hole in the boat as the guy tried to back it off the trailer. Felt it "hang" up, so he gunned it.

How about the guy who was dry running his boat on the boat ramp and burned his water pump up. Then proceeded to run the boat and burn his engine up?

Oh, I can go on for days. So don't worry about your fuel switch. That doesn't even get close to being on my radar!

i wont say anything about the new battery boards I put in an old boat with screws too long Live and learn

Hey North Texas, What is funny is if the guy had been trying to screw the boat to the bunker he would have missed with 5 or more screws LOL..

YEP I thought they had a vacine that cure CRS a long time ago but it has reared it's ugly head once again.

We named my uncle Killswitch! He bragged about how good this engine cranked up till he tried for several minutes cranking untill finally I asked him to move and I installed the kill ring and cranked it right up!

My buddy called me on my cell the other day right after I had gotten home from work. Said his Yamaha wouldn't start and he was on Joe Pool asked since I used to have a Yamaha did I have any ideas. You guessed it. Kill Switch, my Son who works with computers said congratulations Dad you can do tech support.

Wow, Some of those have got to hurt.

I have spent HOURS over the years trying to start my boat with the kill switch being pulled.

I had a recent episode with the Kill switch thing.

Got a tow back to the boat ramp, loaded the boat by hand, drug it home, hooked up water hose to it, pulled spark plugs, could see no problems with them and plenty of fuel, reinstalled plugs but still no crank, installed new plugs even though there was nothing at all wrong with the ones already in it but still nothing until I saw this curled up red cord laying next to the drivers seat...

How can anyone be so dumb as to not check the most obvious thing FIRST?

How about installing a bilge pump backwards. Instead of pumping water out it pumped more water in!!! Hard to get it on plane with all that water.

Then there is the forgotten plug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
