I am 6ft tall and weigh in at around 250. So, I'm not small. I wanted something lightweight for ease of travel, stable, and around 10ft long so it would fit in the bed of my truck. I went with the Malibu Mini-X due to good reports from others on other boards. I took it out Wednesay and it was awesome. I got the Fish and Dive version and I am very happy with it. Very stable and good tracking (especially for a 10ft boat). It has a nice wide seat and good hatches. I am very happy with this purchase. I bought mine from Gander Mountain due to the fact that there are no other Malibu dealers in E. Texas. I would generally recommending buying from a small dealer instead, but I had no choices here.

Anyway, I am happy with my purchase. I just bought a Humminbird FF for it and should have it installed this weekend.

Just a hint from my experience with this yak and Humminbird FF.
I don't know which model you have, but when I installed a 215 Pyrhana it didn't have enough power to shoot thru the keel ridge. If you plan to do a thru-hull installation, I would suggest that you move the transducer to one side or the other just enough where it won't have to shoot thru the thicker amount of plastic. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck

Pazz,
Thanks for the tip! I bought the PiranhaMax220 which is supposed to have, I think, either 1200 or 1500 watts PtoP. I think the one you bought may have had 600 or 800 watts. But, it's worth considering!
