Forecast: Winds will gradually die down a bit, but we'll still see gusts up around 25 mph.

What does the group think about Saturday morning? SATURDAY'S FORECAST: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance for showers. Rainfall amounts should average 0.25" or less at mostl locations. We'll have a gusty south wind at 10-20 mph.
HIGH: 92

Hey You all have to get the wind turned off soon. I will be coming down on the 16th to camp and fish for the week. My boat does not like sitting on the trailer.

Your going to be limited on Granger. If you know how to run the south bank to get to the river you may be okay, but you'll have to be very careful in that situation. I hate this time of year because the temps are still a little comfortable but the wind is blowing. By the time the wind quits it will be 100 plus in the shade.

That's the sweet thing about Texas. The wind and the temperature. I've been caught on Granger with some huge waves. It almost looked like the tide was coming in around Friendship boat ramp. Once you learn the south shore run into the river channel, you got the wind figured out on Granger. Some good cats in that river!

I've been planning to make the south shore run, since it doesn't look like the wind is going away. Any tips on what to watch out for? I used to always go that way years ago, before I got a lake map and started following the river channel. When I did follow the south shore, I was just lucky and didn't know what to watch out for. The fish are probably getting real hungry, since we aren't out there to feed them.

When going to the south bank, there is a old fence row with the post sticking up. Stay inbetween the fence post and the bank. You will be away from the bank about 75 yards. When you lose the fence post, start to run your motor slower. Until you get use to the stump field. There is a opening in the stumps that will lead you to the river channel. Make sure you go slow a few times and you will get through it just fine. By the way, in the crappie run, that's a good spot to start looking for them. You got a nice little cut right there.

Anyone know what the wind is going to be like tomorrow? My news source didn't comment on it today.
