Things are still smokin hot at Whitney. White's schooling up on top and when everyone does it right they stay up. Course you always have one that likes to come in and troll a crankbait with his big motor catch a fish and throw out a marker???? rolfmao bang I give up, it has got to be past frustrating and become plain humerous. Fish schooling on top, birds working, 20 boats all slabbing or chunking baits and all catching fish and one yahoo want's to troll through the pack. Oh well, there are so many active feeding school's of fish on Whitney right now it doesn't take long to get back on a bite. The larger fish (Whites, mixed with Stripers) and I mean big fat sows, are coming off ledges and edges. Watch your graph and look for giant Christmas Trees stacked up. Drop a slab and see if you can get it too the bottom with OUT getting bit. Stripers are being caught on live bait in same areas.
Really great to see the boat shows again on Whitney, everyone catching fish and getting along. We are well on the road to a full recovery, all the fish are fat and healthy. The lake is chock full of shad wich will allow for all the fish to meet there full growth rate. Crossing over the dam I saw TPW backed down the ramp with a trailer. Pulled around and visited with them, we received 320,000 fingerling Stripers Saturday. Things are looking good, and if you have been thinking about coming to Whitney but just haven't, you oughta come get you some.
Hope to, "C Ya on the Water!"

Im going up there last weekend of June. I hadnt been since I was about 12 which was along time ago. Can anyone give me any advise on where some good areas are to catch some fish?
We are staying at the Beachland Lodge and its more of a family reunion but Im taking the boat. Gonna have about 8 kids wanting to go out and do a little fishing and was hoping I could put them on some fish(fairly close to where I launch the boat).

Any help would be appreciated.
