Yesterday afternoon, the whites and hybrids schooled for about two hours from 5:30 till 7ish. They were hitting the surface as far as you could see all around the dam area.
Had one boat who insisted on chasing them that sent them down every time.
I used PopR and tore them up while a friend used bomber type diving plug and scored just as well.
No small white in the bunch, they were the ones you'll need to get a check for this weeks tournament.
Wind wasn't a issue at all the past few days. Launch at the public ramp at the dam and you will be protected.
Fishing on Twak. for any species has been outstanding.

man hook em- had a boat chasing?
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Caught'em Friday evening 6-6 just not as big as school. Hybrids did not come up until the sun set. Only got 4 keepers but my parents limited.

Thanks for the report! Might get up early and shift my grapevine trip to Tawak on Friday.

Was back on that point near the spillway Tuesday. Didn't have them come up in that area like they did before.
Had bait skipping out of the water. I think due to blue bird skies, they just chased and didn't break surface.
An 8-10 ft diver did the job. They use that long point coming off of the right of the spillway to herd the shad into and cut loose. Specially after a few days of southern wind.
May go out one more time this evening. After that it will be father day if at all.

Thanks for the report.
Fished Tuesday morning and could'nt buy a bite. Maybe it was the lightning - we waited until the storm passed, about 9. Marked a few fish but no bites. My buddy caught 3 channel cats up in Wolf Cove and that was it. I was back home napping in the recliner by 3.
