Has anybody used one of the Daiwa Mega force reels??

I was lookin at it at Bass Pro the other day and couldnt believe that it was only like 59 bucks and had a twitchin bar on it! Just worndering if its worth the 59 bucks or not?

Hey Chicken Ive use them for 6months and love them, they cast well and you can stitch a worm great very smooth

Yes it's worth it. They are great for texas rigging worms or jigs.

I use the Mag Force but, without the twitchin' bar. I had a really strange thing happened with mine; on a cast, the line somehow got caught under the hood and the force broke my rod. I was throwing a 5/8 oz. c-rig. Once you get it "dialed in" it's pretty good. Have you tried the Daiwa Exceller?
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

No I was just lookin at gettin a new reel and after I saw this one I kinda changed my mind about what I was gonna get so I decided to do a little research before making a decision! Thanks Everybody I really appreciate it! And throwback no I havent tried that reel ?

You might want to check the Exceller out, I have had a pretty good experience with it. Of course I don't have a lot to compare it to except having traded in a abu silvermax for it and I have been loaned a Shimano Cruxis to try for awhile. I think if I buy another reel it will be the Daiwa HSTA, it costs more but, I sure like the way it feels in my hand.
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

the megaforce is worth every penny. it works great for jigs. it has a great gear ratio and is very affordable.

I had one and broke the line guide on a mediocre hook set. Ripped it right out, lost the fish. It seems to be a great reel except for the line guide. I'd buy another if they changed the guide to metal instead of plastic.
