It's been awhile since I drifted for cats at night(like 10 years) , my question is what kind of equipment is everyone using now to see at night with.

I use two of the green lights with a weight snapped to the bottom. I have a couple of flourescent lights in the boat. Pretty simple stuff.

i just use the white stern light on the boat and a small head lamp that clips on my hat. i also carry a spot light for navigating. if you are only going once or twice and dont own cargable spotlight, just go to walmart and buy one of those big plastic lights that come with the square battery. they only cost like $4 with the battery, cheaper than buying batteries for the maglight.

i dont drift fish often, so im sure there is a better way, i just keep it simple.

Nothing beats a good hat light. I made my own by zip tying a mini maglight on the bill of one of my old hats. I like this light better than the more compact ones because the light is several inches away from my face and the bugs are not flying right up to my face.

get you a head light- so many brands out now you can get them really cheap and pick them up almost anywhere. I saw some at the drug store the other day.
