What kind of poles do i use for a sein net? and where do i get them? help!

broom handles is what my dad always used Wooden handles or PVC. Dang black what you got on your 4 wheeler there.

We used to go down to the Brazos and camp out when I was a little kid. My Dad just went and found some sticks that would work... Thats when we was hillbillies and such. :P I used to love helping him sein the river, we never knew what we where going to bring in.

i/2" pvc pipe will work. Jusr drill holes in it to tie the sein thru it will work.

go to lowes / homedepot and ask where the dowel rods are, or get some brook handles. you want something sturdy

just dont use it in public waters Why not? Seine: A section of non-metallic mesh webbing, with the top edge buoyed upwards by a floatline and the bottom edge weighted. Includes a push net. * May be used to take NONGAME fish and shrimp only. * May not be longer than 20 feet. * May not have mesh exceeding 1/2-inch square. * Must be manually operated. * In SALT WATER, nongame fish may be taken by seine for bait purposes only. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/annual/fish/legal_devices/It is listed as a legal device with the above exclusions. 1/2 galvanized conduit, broom handles or closet rod dowels works for me.

SCH 40 pvc might work. I always just used tree limbs.
