This was posted on another website by a guide buddy of mine. I thought you guys might like to check it out. I was down there last weekend. We caught some nice bass drop-shotting the brush piles, but nothing like these. We also took the girls out, and they caught 100 crappie in under 3 hours. Caught some really nice fish.

I've spent the better part of the past 20 years in the outdoors. But today has to top em all. Obadiah Mechlor, my vet's son, caught not 1, but 2 bass today in less than an hour that would make any bass fisherman's year. To catch 2 like this in one day is probably a lifetime achievement. I know I've never done it.

Both these fish were caught on 6 pound test line, ultralight rod, #1 gold crappie hook and a minnow.

This one was short, fat and weighed just over 9 pounds.

This on was long and poor but weighed 10.25. He had to have Ronnie help hold it cause he was too wore out from the fight.

It's day's like this that make it all worthwhile. cool

BTW, we also boxed 85 keeper sacalait.

Let's DO IT!

man- that is a nice crappie and the green trash fish are okay

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
