I am headed to Rockport in a few weeks for some trout and redfish action. I have read on here how good the gulp! Shrimp work. Any advice on color? Should I go with the "Natural" or "New Penny"?

I like using the New Penny and have been doing quite well with them, whether in the green water or in the dingy water, they seem to be working really well.

I've had good luck w/ GULPS in the Molting color and the White/Pearl color. My brother uses the New Penny and does real well. My best buddy used the New Penny and Electric chicken this past weekend and he did fairly well. We fish them this time of year with a popping cork w/ about a 24" Fluoro leader on a jighead or weighted hook or free line them w/ a 1/16 oz. weighted hook and slowly twitch them w/ a steady retrieve. I catch many different species of inshore fish on them.

Whats the pros and cons to using the gulp shrimp vs. the real shrimp? Im going to the jetty in South Padre Island next week and i was wondering which would be better.

had heard people were doing really well just fishing them like live shrimp under a popin cork. That is the plan anyways.
