When you pull the covers off of a battery, how high should the liquid be in the holes? My Guest onboard battery charger is showing red and green lights for 24 hours now. the manual says to check the fluid levels in the batteries, but I don't know what I'm looking at.

I've only had this boat for a little over 6 months. I can't believe that a battery woudl be bad already? I leave it plugged into the onboard charger all the time.

Distiled water is best to fill back with , like freeman said the water should cover the plates. you dont have to fill them to the top just get them covered.
