headed north could ya give him a ride a little ways ... he stayed for the drawing at the tournament down there at ray hubbard and came back with an arm load of danny king punch bait ... he knew better than to bring any of that stuff around me but he did it anyhow ... I left his junky butt down there in the bass pro parkin lot so if ya'll see a chubby feller walkin north in light colored shorts and a T-shirt carrying 4 tubs of punch bait ya might do his wife a favor if you'd give him a bit of a ride north ... she called worried about him.

LOL, I don't blame you one bit Tiny. That stuff is rank. Congrats on the tourney finish. Pretty impressive on a lake you've never fished before.

when he gets home after a week out, his wife asks, "did you catch anything".
He answers" hell, I hope not"

thanks everyone ... was great visiting with ya'll too big mick. I didn't have nearly as much fun at this tourney as we had too many cheifs in the boat and not enough injuns. my cousin was the worst tourney partner I coulda picked as he had us wasting too much time "likely spot fishin" ... burnt up the whole day prefishing friday doing that stuff and over half the day saturday also and we had a little falling out and I told him that I'm the one that needs to be calling the shots here and that I don't come to his shop and tell him how to do his business and he shouldn't be telling me how to do mine ... finally about 11:30 we quit likely spot fishin and he let me locate the fish and we caught all our fish saturday in the last two hours ... sunday he didn't try to take control until about 11am ... that's about when ya'll seen us coming by you out there and he wanted to start likely spot fishin again ... we already had 55+ lbs in the boat and I was worn out from fishing those lilly pads so we take off hopping around again ... he wanted to fish the cormorant roosts and I said those cormorant roosts have been beat to death by now ... but there might be a nice fish or two around them ... okay ... so we wasted the next couple hours out there or maybe a little less ... about 12:30 I said we need to go check out where I'd located those fish yesterday and search the rest of that area and we might put another nice fish in the boat ... he says okay but on the way slowly going through the trees he sees two more cormorant roosts and we have to stop there and waste more time ... then after he sees that there's no fish there he says okay ... go find us some fish ... I sez there's not enough time now but we can try for a few minutes ... we eased on over there and I find some fish and then we catch a few about 5 or 6 lbs and it gets to about 1:20pm or so and I sez let's wrap it up and head in .... we got over to the ramp about 1:30 or so and he says let's go fish deep water ... I said I've had enough of that stupid stuff ... just fishin where there's no fish or no reason to be fishin ... I'm burnt up and angry at him ... I love him to death and normally have a great time with him but for some reason he feels like he's an authority on fishin when we enter a tourney together. he done some other things that got on my nerves too but I made it through it okay ... I'll probably have him go with me to another tourney but we'll have to have an understanding before we go next time. I gotta figure out a way to nicely tell him that I gotta be the one what says where we fish and all that and I don't have time in a tourney to explain why there's no fish here or there ... he's learned a few things from me from pleasure fishin and wanted to apply what he knew to spawning time bluecat fishing and it had no value whatsoever to fishing after "the run" has taken place. I'm pretty sure I know where the mature blues are on ray hubbard during this time and it's most likely up under those cattails as those root systems on cat tails are like big caves up in there and provides a great place for blues and any other catfish to make a defendable nesting area and the fish we found were in some of the thickest stuff out there ... the thicker it was the bigger the fish ... made it impossible almost to bring a rig back in without breaking it off or if we caught a small fish they'd usually get off as we'd have to rip the hook out of their mouths when they get hung up ... had to use big trotline style hooks on those rigs in order to get a good enough bite on the inside of their mouths in order for it to not rip the hooks out of their mouths but that was another thing I couldn't get my cousin to do ... he was using light octopus type hooks and he hung a couple of 20's up in there but since he had those light wire hooks they'd just rip right out of their mouths ... couldn't get him to quit using them either. another frustrating thing I had to deal with as he was hooking fish and ya only get one shot at those nice fish and if they feel the sting of the hook they're not going to bite again ... especially after they get a hook ripped out of their mouths. I explained that to him but since he's the expert he kept doing it the way he wanted. all that kinda stuff made for a pretty miserable time ... totally the opposite of the tawakoni tournament. I think I'm gonna have to go up to his shop and tell him how to run his bidness hehehe.

Put me on the partner list for the next tourney if you're still lookin tiny. You can fish wherever/however you want. Hell, I'll even bait the hooks if you're putting us on the fish

Respect the "cat man" - he has the right to post a "long post" when you have delivered the advise and wisdom to the forum that he has (unlikely it will ever happen) - then you can talk chit otherwise STFU. Tiny - you have a fan here

Hey Tiny...just tell him since it's YOUR boat and he's just along for the ride and a share in the money...he better do it YOUR way.
Hell...I'm sure alot of people would be more than happy to pay half the entry fee to fish a tournament with you and do it exactly your way. Potentially get paid to take a somewhat guided trip with Tiny? HELL YEAH!
No fish is too good for the grease.
