It is about 100 ft north of the Buck Creek Access ramp turn on 377. If going north it is on the right hand side.

Went there Friday morning and all he would see me is a pound of minnows, not a half or by the dozen. $22.50. Since we were only staying until lunch, didn't need that many and thought it was a little ridiculous. Never had that problem there before.

What time did you get there? We got there around 6:30 and no one was there. What time does this place open? We wound up jig fishing all morning, which was ok though, I need all the practice I can get!!. If the lake drops down much this summer, the damn trees in buck creek will sure have a lot of ornaments hanging from the branches!!

ME and leftout stopped in there yesterday. Seeme like to me the name of that store should be Buck Creek Access last chance for minnows and a bathroom or go somewhere else if ya need anything else Store.
Cause if you need anything else, forget about it. All I really needed was the bathroom anyway,so I was ok. But, since we were looking for a few snamcks, we went to another store before puttin in.
So, it would appear to me that if a fellow showed up in the parkin lot with a BBQ wagon during weigh-in they could make a killin.

We were there about 6:30 also. I took a detour on Saturday and went to the dam store then to Buck Creek. I didn't want to stop at the Fina/Subway as I read earlier posts that they are getting skimpy on their dozens. Man was the ramp busy Sat evening or what?

If he would have got the minnows for you, you'd have gotten ripped off. That Fina store is notorious for ripping you off on the amount of minnows you pay for. Abort! Abort!

The number of times I have pulled into that store to find them closed or not having what I wanted is ten times greater than the number of times it was open or had what I needed.

For several years I did a lot of crappie fishing out of Buck Creek Ramp, and it got to where we did not even go to the store. We got what we needed before we left PP.

And to answer a question someone asked, there is no ramp at Buck Creek Store.

I think a man has a right to do business anyway he feels like it. I'm bettin that fellow doesn't need anybody's opinion either. He probably is set, and could care less. I can appreciate his situation and wouldn't mind bein in it.
He probably sells more minnows than anyone in the land. It also looks like he has alot of irons in the fire otherwise.
Someone may be able to go to him and work a deal, that would be mutually beneficial.
Also probably not his first weigh in either.
I'm just saying, that if you need anything else, go down the road.
I did get some chedder crackers.

It is great to live in a free country where business owners are free to run thier business however they want and we are free to complain about it.

I'm sure that if he closed his doors, due to the complainin, then someone, and I'm sure there are alot, would be put out. He provides a service. It's his land, and his service. Don't go there. I don't know the man from Adam, but, I'm sure there are many who do, and may even know why that is the way he does business.

I agree 100% that he has the total right to run his place of business anyway that he chooses.

Oh and for those that do not want to buy minnows at Subway there is another alternative in Pilot Point that is only a minute or two out of the way. There is a convenience store right off the square on the road to Johnson Park that sells bait. They also speak English and are always glad to have your business.
