My buddy and I are going to try some night fishing this weekend and I have everything ready. Only problem is I'm not sure how deep I should sink the green lights. I've talked to some folks and decided to try trees in 10'-12' water.

How deep do yoy guys usually sink these green lights?

I try not to drop them more than 2-3 '.Seems like the deeper you put them the more you will get tangled in them.

I start with them half in, half out.. then maybe drop them a couple feet and thats it..

Wow, glad I asked. I was planning on dropping them down about 5 feet.

Thanks for the advice. I'm a little unsure if it is worth trying this weekend because the mood is so full.

I put mine down about 1'-2' deep. The bait fish will come.

BigPoppa, the reason you only want to lower lights about a foot under the water, is so it will reflect off the bottom of the boat and then back down... More light to attract bait this way....My 2 cents...
