Fresh shad is always real good for cats and does well with other
species also.

if your lookin for like a home made bait...Benny Robert's Sure Shot works great. he is in decatur. you can either drive to his house, or have him ship it to you. me and my dad bought some a month ago and it is night and day difference to anything else we have used. with the exception of live or fresh cut shad! have fun!

I'd go with cut shad or bill's cheese bait.
