Heck......I've been on the jetties of Port A. and witnessed folks of the Asian persuasion catch a fish and start dippin' pieces of it in wasabi sauce while it was still kickin'!!!! I think they ate the rest of the bait too. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! I've seen that at White Rock creek.

Ronnie Manning why the race card?? You a racists? I just said spanish couple. I didnt say they were fron Spain. I wasnt in any way or form trying to be a racist! Dont turbn this into something its not. I dont care if it was a white couple, black couple, green couple, a Ronnie Manning couple. I dont care. Maybe im in the wrong for saying a "spanish couple". Didnt mean to offend anybody. Nothing meant by it. I just think they should be on stringers until they are taken home to be filleted. Quick and fast death. Not Peta. Thats just how i do it. Why did you have to even mention their race in the 1st place? Why not just say, I saw a couple? What difference did it make that they were spanish? Also, as far as how people do it, I've been fishing for a long time. There are times, I forget a stringer. If I wanna keep fish, all I have to do is look around and find some old walmart, or albertson's bag on the ground that some white couple left in the woods and put them in it. I've also used a stick. Either way they get home. And they get eaten. And hurt.. And dead.. Blood, guts, oh, my!!

Ive never seen so many cry baby fisherman. NOTHING WAS MEANT BY IT!!!! Get over it. STRINGER OR NO STRINGER? BAG NO BAG? Thats what the post is about. Whats ur guys thoughts on how u handle the fish after you catch them. But i guess a few of you want to start a new topic of racial issues. Go back and re-read the post.

By the way Tsip, it's "Aggie", not "Aggy". Nice to have the rivalry alive n' well. Man, that didn't take much. I love how easy it is to fire an "aggy" up... I wasn't even trying to stir this one up either. Did aggy win it's spring game this year? I'll just say this, and leave it alone. And NO, I'm not "fired up" as one person put it. I'm just a believer in being classy to all folks on here, whether they went to college or not, military or not, or whatever. I'm not a fan of some other Texas universities, but that doesn't mean I need to poke fun or degrade a university that is close to them as an alum. I see no need in it or place for it on a "fishing forum". Make sense? Good...now let's move on. Sorry to the others for this thread getting derailed on this stuff.

[/quote] Nah, that doesn't make sense. Lighten up big guy...this is a fishing forum not a church forum. It's ok if we razz each other every now then. The rivalry between these two schools is the oldest in Texas and one of the oldest in the country. If you can't handle a little razz every now and then maybe you should consider taking down your signature. Make sense?

Have you ever ate lobster or been to a crawfish boil or steamed clams. Or had king crab legs. All these are prepared with the critter being alive at the start. If I were to say anything at all to them it would be BON apitite.

Matter of fact, if it's in good taste, no biggie brother. I'm not a bible-thumper, though I thought your analogy was pretty funny. As for my signature? Comparing apples to oranges(no pun intended) my friend. Why should I take mine down, because I'm proud of my university? I'm not saying "Horns blow chunks" or "UT Cowpatties" in my sig. Big difference there. I see your sig has the UT football helmet, some folks have mascot symbols, or even flags of their school, that's all cool in my mind. I'm no sensitive choir-boy, believe me. I'm just a person that loves a good rivalry as well as anyone else, but tries to keep it tasteful. Having pride in my school in my sig (just like you) isn't the same thing. The majority of your post made sense, until the last line which was overboard in your comparison IMO. Like I said, dead issue man. Let's talk about fishing and not trash other people, or the place of education just to look cute.

Eric, you have been an Aggie long enough to know what comes with that rarefied air...I was raised on Aggie jokes growing up in Austin...Just something a little different about an Aggie...Easy to make fun of...I have one in my family and he has always been a little different...It's the Aggie not the university...
And they always call me and demand I do push ups everytime the Aggies win...Fortunately it's not too often...
Have fun and Hook 'Em...BTW do you know how many Aggie's it takes to catch a Crappie?...

I don't believe there are any "stupid" posts, just folks with little experience! Sometimes we don't look at the posts that way. If you know a little more.......share!! I don't mean telling someone where to fish.........just some education!! Take a kid with you somewhere down the line and keep the fishing spirit alive!!! Trust me, there are states that are struggling with their conservation efforts!!

Let em' rip. I'm not pissed, or "riled up", or any of that, but wont' reiterate what I've already said a dozen times. That is, be proud of your school, but no need to rip your enemies every time you get the chance. I loved the college years, but now I've grown up a bit and love the old rivalry, just don't get into the mud-slingin'. It's all good in fun and fishin' gents and believe me, once you get to know me, you'll see I'm not like some of what my posts make me appear. I just love the state of Texas, fishing, family, beer, and good friend. Hasta guys!
