I would have asked them how they were catching them.

Lucky for me, I have 2 fishing buddies with 3 boats between them.

As for the sig, I was just pointing out that there is no such thing as a Texas Aggie. There is only one University of Texas and their mascot is not an aggy.[/quote]

LMAO...ok chief, if YOU say so. There may be only 1 University of Texas, but there are several excellent universities in the State Of Texas not named UT. Hate to pop your bubble there.

By the way Tsip, it's "Aggie", not "Aggy". Nice to have the rivalry alive n' well.

Man, that didn't take much. I love how easy it is to fire an "aggy" up...

ARE YOUR KIDDING ME?!
I've seen a lot of silly posts on here, but this one almost sounds like a joke.

Here's something simliar that might explain it...
I know an old man that fishes the same peir on a local lake ALL the time. He lives in a little shack down the road and is a poor fella that lives by himself. I stop and give him fish all the time and he simply puts them in the same 5 gallon bucket he's had for a couple of years. I told him once that he ought to put some ice on his fish so they don't spoil. He told me he couldn't afford to buy a bag of ice everytime he came fishing. Besides, he'd have to walk to town to get it. Now when I give him fish I also give him some ice if I have it with me.

Bottom line...maybe they don't know better, or maybe it's the only option they have. Either way, the humanity of how the fish dies is a mute point...if you're hungry!

I wasn't even trying to stir this one up either. Did aggy win it's spring game this year?

Gotta say that made me spit my coke laughing. Then I got that song stuck in my head for the next few hours at work. Nice

Yep, I would had said, put them on ice (or offer my ice chest if they didn't have one) or here is a stringer to use.

They will be much, much better kept fresh.

If you want to be humane, just release the fish you catch (or just not fish at all and leave them totally alone). Else fresh is best.

Ronnie Manning why the race card?? You a racists? I just said spanish couple. I didnt say they were fron Spain. I wasnt in any way or form trying to be a racist! Dont turbn this into something its not. I dont care if it was a white couple, black couple, green couple, a Ronnie Manning couple. I dont care. Maybe im in the wrong for saying a "spanish couple". Didnt mean to offend anybody. Nothing meant by it. I just think they should be on stringers until they are taken home to be filleted. Quick and fast death. Not Peta. Thats just how i do it.

lol this reminds me of a lady that loves to eat fish and is always GREATFUL when she sees its me knocking on her door . .shes not hispanic .shes black american , im hispanic ( which doesnt matter )anyway back to the story . i always keep the fish alive and deliver them in a fresh bucket of water .what the funny thing is is she ALWAYS says "are they alive ??" i always say yes they are alive and fresh .then she goes gets her bucket .it seems she lets them die first becuase shes is afraid to touch them when they are flopping around .to sum it up "different strokes for different folks "
