We hit grapevine Friday evening/night and we caught a variety which was nice.
10 sandies
6 crappie
3 catfish
4 of the crappie went 2 lbs plus.
We fished just in the mouth of the creek.

we were using minnows. The larger minnows seemed to work better than the smaller ones too.
You had any luck out there lately?
I'm going today on my way home from work so hopefully I will have a good report for tomorrow as well.

yea it was denton creek. I agree they will fry up nicely.
we were pleasantly surprised to catch the crappie. We were only expecting the sandies/catfish....those are the first crappie we have caught out there this year. I'm hoping to find some again today.

i went out there like two weekend ago at twin coves i left with a nice channel cat and 2 nice crappie with a ton of throwback sandies and largemouths the keepers came on minnows lol
i hope u tear em' up today !

Well the trip yesterday evening/night was not great but I did manage to boat 3 keepers, 1 sandbass, 2 crappie....other 5 were dinks (lmb and sandies)....
Hope to do better next trip.....hopefully tomorrow
