I would like to find a few places in the Volente area with good fishing. I would like to avoid driving out to Lago area if I can avoid it. Any suggestions?

I think there was a guy here awhile back that used to have good luck down at Cyprus Creek park. I think he was fishing off some cliffs or something and catching some nice blues. You might give that a shot. And here are some area marinas to look into. Not sure which allow fishing but you can give them a call and see what's up: http://www.texassailor.com/marinas.htm

Hey rpls5623, you must be a surveyor. But yea the cats are great near Volente. Do you have a boat on Travis, if so catch some big bait, use Big Hooks and catch all the 30+# cats you want in the back of that cove right at Volente. Just get ready to hang on.
Always looking for Mr. Big Cat
