What else do I need?

I built and purchased a lot of stuff I loaded onto my kayak that now sits and collects dust. My advice would be to keep it as simple as possible. 1 pole. 1 small tackle box (think about how many lures or gear you actually use). 1 stringer if u actually keep your fish. and a good utility knife.

example:
built a crate. used it once.
bought an anchor. it has never touched the water.
bought a rod holder never installed it.
bought a minnow bucket. never used it.

keep it simple man... less time messing around with equipment = more fishing....

thanks for that advice, I got an anchor, though I doubt it wil get a lot of use, I'll hold off on a minnow bucket, and water sounds good lol, both to launch in and to carry a little for hot summer days to drink.

Sunblock. Concentrate on application to the areas from the top of your feet to the top of your knee.

I use my anchor quite a bit, but probably not as much as the drift sock.
I think of the anchor as a safety device as much as a fishing tool. If you are caught in high winds or rough conditions and go overboard, your yak can't get blown too far away.

That's a lot of Stuff.

I got my kayak for free. It�s a nice one I do a lot of fishing out of it and I don�t have a lot of flimflam for it. I try to keep it simple the less you have the less that can go wrong.
