I "accidently" caught a perty good sized crappie while bass fishing. I was using a 3 ot hook and a Lake Fork Ringfry Texas rigged with a 1/16 oz bullet weight. Fish bit when the bait was paused and sitting on the bottom. I don't think it's common for a crappie to hit such a large bait, was wondering what's the biggest sized bait you guys have used and caught crappie? By the way, the fish measured 15 inches!
The hardest thing about fishing is figuring out what the fish want to eat.

How about this one? It caught more than one this spring while bass fishing. That is a 1/4 oz jig and a #1 Sickle hook. Skip

I've caught them trolling for hybrids...#9 rapelas Same here , but with a deep redfin. also on 4 inch sassy shad. I have caught a bunch of fish this year with the above 1/4thoz jighead, minus the worm trailer. MO
