Just put a new tip on it that will be less than $50. You can actually do it yourself. Find someone that sells the same tips and get some hot glue and replace it.

Heat up the existing tip and pull it off. Take some sandpaper and get all the glue off the tip and clean it up. Reinstall the new tip. Easy job and you can do it. The other eyes are the difficult ones to do.

Barlows sells the eyes down the rod they probably can match a tip to.

I just replaced the tip of an 843c. I got the tip at Barlows. It is a 5.0 barrel and a 6.0 ring. I also called Loomis and they are sending me one as well free of charge. The tip at Barlows was $6.00 for the top of the line.

Make sure not to over heat your tip though because it will actually do damage to your rod...just my 2 cents

Barlows will put it on while you wait if they aren't too busy.

Southwestern Parts in Dallas will fix you up either with a tip or the $50 swap out.

Ask for Shane.
