Been doing good on the main lake Wolf Hump.
I'm a troller, been doing great with Bomber 6A firetiger trolled in the 12ft range on top and off to the side. Southern end of the hump seems to be better.
Good hybrid and magnum whites are showing up.

finger point and greenville pump station have been good for sandies lately
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Has anybody tried Tallmans or out in front of Holiday marina real early for surfacing hybrids? I would think they would be turned on by now. I am taking a couple of friends Friday morning, be in a 20 ft Hurricane fish and ski

we had an excellent friday last week. started out at tallman's & worked it trolling from the north to south. fish were stacked up on the hump 14 ft to the bottom. caught several jr. hybrids and 4 large one's, but we lost a fish that would have gone arround 10 lbs. @ the boat. dd-22 crankbaits & hyper striper jigs chartruse colors. late pm went to cloud point, we were the first boat there and had the same success.

Has anyone seen any top water action early or late around Wolf Cove or the dam?

Didnt see much happening outside of Holiday or at Tallmans, but north wind was 15-18mph, so big rollers to deal with that slowed me from getting over there and probably kept fish from doing much near the top. We pick up 10 or 15 here and there and then got on to a big school of magnum sandies about 250 yards west of Sun Point and were solid catching from about 1 to 3:30, left when it played out. Tougher morning than I thought, thats for sure.

Were those fish on top or on slabs? We are putting in at Holiday at the crack of dawn. First time on Tawokani in a few years. Anyone else going to be there in the morning? We would like to get in to some hybrids and or sandies. Are there any gulls out there now? Top water action?

Probably missed you catfish but the fish off Sun were right under the surface, 4inch Chart Sassy Shads and TNT casting spoons with a fly in front reeled fast were the ticket on them. Every once in a while you would see a fish break the surface. We caught some small ones on the NE corner of the wolf humps near a yellow jug. Caught some smalls ones directly east of tip of finger and a few on the east edge dropoff of Black point

Well. we started at wolf cove...nada, went to TM and got a few nice sandies on chartreuse slabs and gold castmaster, left and tried spillway area...nada, sun point...nada, cloud point we trolled the hell-pet and picked up a few nice ones, trolled deep diving bandit..a few more, then went way out from the point and joined a few other boats and slabbed up a few more. Ended with enough for a mess plus a nice catfish on the slab. Quantity was not good but quality was. We marked beaucoup fish but they just weren't aggressive, at least not for us. Perfect weather though.
