My buddys girlfriends sons has a birthday coming up and he is wanting to het him out on my boat to chase some sandie/striper/hybrids, i have not been out after sandies in awhile and wondering where we might take him, i'm living in Irving and was thinking 35 north to Ray Bob, anyone have any info on the bite out there? Any help would be appreciated.

It is fantastic and easy to find fish I am finding them smaller than what I am getting on LL but they are easier to find on LL.

Grapevine is pretty easy for sandies....it's this location we call the bubbles... it's out by the damn area...just look for the boats and sometime birds...but the birds dont have to be there to catch sandies...if the bite is right and they are there you can literally catch fish all day long.... take some sun screen with you...HOT HOT HOT!!!!

The sand bass fishing on Ray Bob has been very good. We've been catching them on CC spoons and humdingers anywhere from 20 to 30ft deep. Cates point is always a good place to start- it usually has fish and always has fisherman. We've been doing the best out in front of the marina and a few humps between Isle du Bois state park and Wolf Island. The birds have been leading us to most of our fish so I'd suggest taking some binoculars.
