I think that catching crappie is tougher than other fish. Because they strike like no other one day they will knock the heck out of it the next day they might snack you need to be ready for it all. plus they are in my mind the best fish to eat!

It's a heck of a lot more relaxing than bass fishing and better eating that catfish. There's a little pressure to put people on the fish as you want your friends to catch something. Most of the time they're just as glad as I am to get away and doesn't matter if we're skunked or not. Did anyone mention they taste great?

the meat

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

More often than not, I landed about 1-7 LMB (GREEN TRASH) per outing of crappie fishing. They range from 1 lb. to 6 lb. (the Bigger one would break off)

Most bass fishermen would be happy to catch 5 bass per trip. Maybe I just am lucky to find them all the time while crappie fishing, but to catch them as often as I do, I wouldn't have to do anything different but to keep on hunting for crappie.

Anyone who think that crappie fishing is easy, and it's easy to catch a crappie is fooling himself. A true crappie fisherman will tell you that it's an unexplanable addiction, and it's true.

Of course, the only other comparable good eating fresh water specie to crappie would have to be walleye...(Bream has its own merit, but no consistent size to make a decent meal)

Oh yeah..forgot to mention. All Bass are caught w/ BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT FLUORESCENT GREEN LINE. Yeah rite...Bass see line and won't hit ....

A. You can catch more Crappie than Green fish...
B. Jigs & Minno's are cheaper than Green fish stuff....
C. You dont need a rig that cost $40,000.00 to impress a Crappie Chaser....
D. Just makes you feel good to build brush piles & condos with your friends and catch a ton of Crappie....
E. Last but not least.... Crappie is the Rib-Eye Steak of all fish.... cant beat em for taste and quality.... thumb

My 2 cents.... clap

Crappie fishing... what else is there ??
