That sounds like it might be a neat lake for taking my kayak to! If the wind isn't blowing 30mph again that is! I'm interested in going.

I plan on being there Sunday from about 10 AM until 3 or 4 PM. Depends on the fish.

I have been wanting to wet a line in the lake off of I-35 in Denton County for probably twenty plus years.
Still would.

Is everyone still planning on fishing there tomorrow? What is the best way to get there from I35 northbound? Looking at google maps, I can't tell if there is a way to get to Highland Village Rd from the Northbound side, do you have to exit at Garden Ridge and go around on Brazos Blvd?
Looking forward to trying a new place!

I'm going to make it out for a little bit.
Cross the bridge then double back around.
You also might take the Sneaky Peaks exit then go over the overpass. The only problem would be if the southbound service road between the overpass and pond is one way or two way. Does anybody know?

Well I was there along with a few other TFF folks. Saw Fishin Rod and Ddub. There were several small boats out that I never got close enough to talk too.
Nice little lake. I caught 5 nice Crappie and a few dinks.
David had three when I last talked to him. Probably caught some more. I left around 1:00 PM.
All mine came slow trolling a road runner in 6'-10' water. That's an easy way to fish a new pond in a tube. Just slowly kick backwards and hold your rod to the side. Should of taken two rods to get more baits in the water.
Anyway it was fun and the pond is worth fishing. Never saw a snake.

My boy and I worked the north bank with worms looking for perch for a couple of hours and nada. We had a couple of bites but they were really small they couldn't even take a #8 hook.

I'll take snakes over fire ants. It was midsummer so I took the tube and went wet. Put in before light and I must have stepped on a mound. Didn't realize how bad I was getting bit, and how long the devils can live under water. They absolutely peppered me.
