Want to get out with the kids this weekend and try for some crappie... Are the fish shallow, spawning, or what....? I tried a couple of times from the bank this past week and nothin...
I probably will fish from the bank, but do have a boat and go that route to get to some good areas.
Any locations, tips, etc would be greatly appreciated.

i have not had any luck fishing shallow for spawners, i have picked up a few around boat houses. I did read one post where they were doing well on Jigs from the south side of the 35 bridge.
PB Blue Cat = 36 lbs - Texoma
PB Black Bass = 9.9 lbs - Ray Hubbard
PB Striper = 19 Lbs - Beaver Lake AR

A co-worker of mine lives on the water and they have been going to the bank every night and can't catch a thing. They are on the north end near 380 and 720 intersection. They have lived there all their life and have never seen anything like it. Sorry, but that's all I got.

thnx guys - fished a bit around the boat houses on highland village road and nuthin. one perch. Guy there said some folks were catching them in there real shallow last week.
But they were not there or biting. Will keep trying.
