My God that is bad English...I had to read it three times to understand what you were talking about.

I second the bigger tank!

i understood perfectly what he said ... if you didn't i'd say you are the one with the problem

catfishing is now an industry ... it's best for the industry to eat baby catfish

Caney,
Got this off the net from a site that raises goldfish. Not much, but looks like maybe the diet you are looking for.

"Fish that can swim around in a thimble when several days old may grow to a length of eight inches in four months under the scientific diet and care at Grassyfork. The average growth is about an inch a month, the fish being three or four inches long when ready for sale.

At the end of the second month, the flour diet is stopped, and the young fish start in on the growing rations, cooked hominy hearts which have been compressed to squeeze out all the oil and then ground to powder. Practically all the feeding is done in the morning. The breeding fish get corn-meal mush, thrown into the water in great chunks. This mush cooks in a boiler that holds three and a half tons and, at some seasons of the year, three boilerfuls a day21,000 pounds of mushare needed to supply the breeding ponds. As much as 5,000 pounds have been thrown into a single seven-acre pond at one time."

And by the way, it's not how a person spells, it's how you honor our Lord with kind words for your fellow fishermen that is important. Fish on, Caney!!!

That is the info I have been needing! I have been feeding them goldfish flakes two times a day, should I start feeding three times a day?

Caney,

Sorry for calling you out in a rude fashion. Just trying to encourage you to proofread before you post. I'm not perfect about it, but I try to be when I post on a public forum. I appreciate your passion for the activity and I'm jealous of how much you get to fish!!

I'm also glad you aren't giving up on the fish yet. Keep them alive and see how they grow!

Hey Brother Terry...I hope you've never cursed before in your life if you are going to call me out on that subject.

But anyway...let's get back on topic!

regular and quality feeding is important for growth, but not as important as the water changes...I kept aquariums for many years and I know a little bit about this...I would try water changes before changing feeding, its a cheap and easy fix if it is your problem. if the problem is too much waste/ammonia in the water stopping their growth, more feeding without water changes will make it worse. stopping growing is the fishes natrual response to overcrowding, which they sense from cocentrations of their own waste in the water

I do a 90 percent water change one to two times a week and I have changed my fountain in to a filter.
