Going to be headed out to Lake buchanon this mid-week. Would like to ask if anyone has any reports on how the lake is holding up with Whites, Stripes or Cats. Got some old friends coming down from Dallas - would sure like to show them a good time.

Appreciate you support.

Fishing has been POOR to BAD since Feb. No schooling action to speak of. Very little holding around Garrett or Paradise. Not sure what is happening but all the extra water in the lake is really killing the fishing right now.

Greatly appreciated. We taking the toon out and sleeping on it, gonna try fishing all the way around the clock if possible. What about Shaw Island - any action there to speak of?

If your fishing at night then fish the lights from Burnet County Park to Silver Creek. There are eight of them submerged under the water on that bank.

Randy - Thanks. I know there is a light in a cove by Thunderbird, I didn't know there were more. In reference to BCounty Park to Silver Creek - in the open lake area.... Yeah, got to watch - I ran aground somewhere around there - come up so fast didn't have time to react.

Is the lake up? and more importantly, are the Stripers hitting?

Andy

Don't know anything about the stripers, but I had a great white bass trip the second week of April. We put in at the Cedar Point ramp and went across to the east side, watched for bird activity, and got into schooling whites 3 days in a row. We caught lots of fish and many were good sized. Several lure setups worked, but the favorite was a 1/8th ounce Roadrunner with a pearl or salt and pepper panfish assassin fished 3-5 ft under a popping cork. When the bird activity stopped we would start slabbing and catch several larger fish.
