Has anyone been on lake waco this past weekend to see if the lake has come up and if the fish are bitting???

Was the lake down? I'm curious becasue it doesn't seem that long ago that this lake was closed due to high water.

Lake was only up about 1 ft. (Water was to the rocks at Speegleville Ramp)

Did pretty good for lmb to 4 lbs in 3-7 ft along airport park
Spinnerbaits, flukes and wtermelon t-rig

Fished from 8 - 11 am Saturday

Typical Waco - lots of little ones that are small, but fun.

Lake is great!

Nice Jason. We moved up here a year ago and I've only been on Lake Waco once during that time. Gotta get out there the next two weeks and get ready for a tournament that is coming up. I run a 2005 Champion 188 Elite, black and white with a 200 Yammie. If any of you local guys see me say hi.

A sharelunker (+13 lb.) was pulled out of there last year, so it can't be too bad.

Hey CutThroat, no it's a pretty good lake. I just need to get myself out on it. It want take me but a few trips to pick up a pattern. I fished the lake before the level was raised but only once sence it was raised. I will figure it out, no biggie. Did you get your daughter through BU?

Yes sir. Still paying for her younger two brothers schooling though. So, we're still living in our "lean" years.

And my daughter is now married, with a 15 month old beautiful little girl, and is expecting again in the fall. So....life is good for this grandpa.

That is great Cut. Our daughter is finishing up her Masters this month. I hear on the lean part and being a grand poppa is great. Congrats on that.

The sharelunker was pulled out of there a few months back and it went 13.80 caught by a guy fishing a club tournament with the Robinson Bass Club. Good fish there when they want to bite...
