You know now that I think about it maybe there is something to that whole sewage thing after all. Here lately I have been eating some of the sandies and cats from the vine. I have noticed that I have some whisker looking things going out of face around the jaw line. My skin has also turned a very white color, kinda the color of a sandie! Ah it's probably nothing though but I have noticed that I can hold my breath under water now for ten minutes or more. Ah probably nothing though.

As promised, attached is a copy of a Press Release from Mayor Daniel Cocanougher that will publish in the �Denton Record Chronicle� and the �Justin Journal� this week. I hope this addresses your concerns. We are very much focused and dedicated to resolving the issues with the Justin Wastewater Plant. We also plan to issue future Press Releases.

MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR ON
JUSTIN�S WASTEWATER PLANT REMEDIAL PROCESS

The Justin Wastewater Plant is processing wastewater and discharging clean effluent into Trail Creek currently. The Plant is very close to being in complete compliance with all State and Federal Guidelines. The City is taking prompt action to insure that all the necessary steps are taken to bring the Plant into full compliance as soon as possible. The City realizes that a correctly working wastewater plant is of the utmost importance.

The Justin Wastewater Plant receives all of its intake from the City of Justin, and at any time, pollution can enter the Plant causing many issues. This rarely happens, but when it does the Plant can be out of compliance until the problems are diagnosed and solved. The current problems with the Plant have been particularly difficult to diagnose. The City has called in the �heavy hitters� in the wastewater business to assist with an assessment and resolution to the problem.

Presently, the Justin Wastewater Plant is functioning at a greatly improved level demonstrating that the remedial process is working. The City of Justin strongly believes that operating a clean environmentally friendly water and wastewater program is a top priority. We regret the embarrassing news articles and news casts about the Justin Wastewater Plant problems. Such articles and news casts did not report the specific problems nor did they capture the entire story.

The City commissioned its City Engineer to complete a Master Wastewater Study in September 2007. Such Study was completed recently, and the options offered in the Study are being considered by the Council at this time for a long term solution to the recent problems. The City has committed additional resources to insure the Wastewater Plant is operated within State and Federal Guidelines.

The City is asking that anyone seeing suspicious persons or activity in the vicinity or at the location of the Justin Wastewater Plant or in the immediate area of any of the City�s manholes to please call the Justin Police Department at 940/648-2541, Exts. 105 or 106. Any person wishing to discuss the activities of the City further may call City Hall at 940/648-2541, Exts. 101 or 102.
