One momma squirrel: $0 One baby squirrel: $0 One(ok, two) six packs Miller lite: $11 One female Chocolate lab: $500 One Nikon D50 w/acc: (shhhh, she dont know about it) Sunday night in early May: Priceless The duel starts with a classic stare down  And, they're off!  Is that all you've got? Come and get me!  Want some juicy squirrel meat... I'm right here!  Just out of harms reach.  Another night of harrassing the beast is a success!  Man, did these two harass that dog to no end. They got down on tree to the dogs level and did circles around the tree with the dog in chase. Funniest thing I've seen in a while.

Funny, but be careful. My lab caught said squirrel once. Almost made him blind in both eyes.

Incredible, Markk, because when I lived in Wichita, Ks., my black lab Cindy had the same deal with a squirrel just like a regular game. Squirrel would just get started up the tree as Cindy got to the bottom.
One day Cindy somehow got between squirrel and tree, was really funny how they both just stood there for a minute not knowing what to do. Funny look on both faces.
Finally Cindy kind of sidled to the side some, and squirrel took off for the tree, Cindy took off after squirrel, and like usual squirrel started up tree just as Cindy got to the bottom again.
Had become a ritual for them, that incident was hilarious, and I think of it often, was so much fun to see that.
