If I read the law right, it's 25 crappie 10" or longer per person, not per boat? If I have three people fishing with me, then each of us can have 25 crappie, a total of 75 in the boat? Correct?
Just want to make sure....did I mention I'm paranoid?
That's why they call it fishing and not catching!

I believe you are correct there. It is per person and not per boat.

To take it to one more layer of detail...it would be 25 fish, 10" or longer, per licensed angler (unless the person does not have to have a license, like under 17). For example, you have 3 adults in the boat, but only 2 have a fishing license, then you could only have 50 over 10". Now you have a father/son on board with you...son is 15, you can have 50 because son does not have to have a license. One more layer deep...December 1 - Last day in February, you must keep the first 25 crappie you catch on Lake Fork, Toledo Bend, Lake O The Pines...regardless of size...per licensed angler

Each fishermancankeep 25 but not together. Each fisherman must keep his fish seperate from the others. Some game wardens do not enforce this, but they can if they want to. This is to make sure one does not keep 30 and another 20.

I believe the limit does not count on private waters, but I may be wrong.

Private fresh waters contained on the property (i.e., no water flowing thru) the fish belong to the property owner. Public waters the fish belong to the public and all game laws apply. If you can get to them legally, 10 to 16 inch pond bass make good dinner! Lots of pond owners like someone to cull the smaller ones from time to time.

Great fishing you had, but maybe you should try Toledo Bend where the limit is 50 per person with a 10" min.
Oh and one other thing, here from Dec. 1st through Feb. 1st I believe that is the time span) you mush keep all you catch without regard for length (still same 50 per person limit per day). No throw backs at all!
Congrats on a great day, Skip

Congrats on a great day, Skip I plan on making the trip out there this summer. My Father-in-law lives nearby on the LA side. I grew up in LA catching with the regs like that. By the way, I caught most of mine of a jig I tied with some tying advice you and SMS gave me last year, so thanks!
