Hello, I'm new to the Southlake/Grapevine area. Want to take my little daughters out fishing at Grapevine lake. We'll be fishing from the shore. Any advice? What should we use? What am i able to keep? Thank you so much!!

perch should be near the shore. earthworms on small perch hooks. watch out for ants! they used to be bad all around that lake! find a small cove and fish about midway back near the banks. this should help you out. www.dfwmpas.com once you get close and want to see an aerial view- you click on the box on the left and switch it to aerial shots.

I took my two boys out there about a week ago and they caught tons of perch. We were in McPherson Slough off of Dove road. Fish by the boat docks.
