 tilt/trim Hg 200 popping sound?

what causes a popping sound when the tilt/trim is raised or lowered. no apparent problem in the raising or lowering of the engine and only sounds momentarily then quits. Unit otherwise performs as it should. thanks.

Try greasing the small bearings at the end of the trim rods. Usually quiets the sound.

Try greasing the small bearings at the end of the trim rods. Usually quiets the sound.
