Is there anyone interested in Rod building business? I love it but I need to get back into my first love which is fishing, I sell about $30,00 per year and not advertise that much, but really want to sell it to someone who will carry on the craftsmenshiip and the love of getting rods to people who can use them. Email me at fisher4@consolidated.net

Thinking of getting out for good. I have a 15 y/o son who lives with me and between my full time job and him I never get any time to spend on the lake. I want to get back into guiding part time and doing a lot more fishing. My son stays on me all the time about wanting to go and there is'nt enough hours in the day to do it all. I live 5 minutes from Sam Rayburn lake and was on the lake only twice last year. I don't want to just close down, becfause to amny people out there still want the rods.

This is sad news to hear. Good luck Mr. Harrison in your future endeavors. I hope you find someone worthy enough to continue your business. At least I can say that I am one of the lucky ones to have been able to meet you and own a couple of your Sidewinders. You are a class act for sure.

Thanks for all the kind words from everyone. My 15 y/o has been on me to get back into tournament fishing and wants to be my partner. So I think I owe it to us both to get back into it. Since I have told him of entertaining the idea of selling out, he has looked for tournamnets everywhere that we could get into. I would rather keep him on this path than let him get on some other things that are out there in the world today. Again thanks to all the kind words.
It will not be sold to anyone who is not going to carry on the craftmenship etc.

I kinda hate to read this since you are local ... it is good for your son though and y'all's relationship. You wanna make any rods before you hang it up? I'm kinda interested in a split grip frog rod maybe. I've been looking at some of the commercial rods.
