Thought some of you guys might like to see this. BF-1 is the first STOVL flight test plane for the F-35. Yes, they are releasable to the public. smile

those are awsome pics I watched the first flight of that rig. The planes from Carswell JRB fly over the dealership all the time. Every once in a while i catch a glimpse of the F-35 JSF

This one is the STOVL (short take-off, vertical landing) version of the aircraft, and hasn't flown yet. But it's first flight is coming up soon!! The one that deasley has seen flying is the CTOL version (conventional take-off, landing) of the aircraft. And the CV (carrier version) of the aircraft is in work too. Triple the fun wink Cool photos!

I see you know your F-35's Launcher. AA-1 was the first to fly, followed by BF-1. BF-4 is next in order to fly. BG-2 is currently on the production line having static load testing run.
