How I dried my slabs after I dipped them in paint. I dipped a few this evening. I get this thing at Wal-Mart they used to cost 7.99 but they are up to 9.99 now. It comes with two brackets you can put on the wall and hang it up and fold and the slabs will still not touch each other. it will hold about 140-150 slabs at a time. Oh, I let them drip and dry a bit on the bottom rung then when I am done with a row I let them sit about 5 more minutes and move them to the top and work my way down.

I have a fan to keep the air moving aside from drying fast that vinyl paint reeks.

I cut my paint by 1/2 to 1/3 with MEK otherwise it will gob up really bad.

nice setup...be careful with that MEK, it causes cancer

But either way you look at it nearly every compnent of slab making is a hazzard from the lead to the MEK to the furnace. I will eventually get bored and sell all my stuff.

Yea I ordered a gallon of water base vinyl paint from CS. Since most of not all vinyl pait has that nasty stuff.

Methyl Ethyl Keytone?

We used to use MEK to clean our hands and acft components....I'm sure it'll catch up to me eventually..just be careful..

MEK and TCE's Trike's man they used to give TCE's to folks as an anesthetic and analgesic. Good ole Gun Scrbber in a can now.

yes sir, thats what replaced the MEK we were using..it wasn't as good as the MEK for cleaning stuff. Used the MEK to wipe down acft before painting etc...

Yep my daddy used to paint his race cars and right before he painted a car we would get cheese cloth dip it in the vat squezze the excess off and wipe stuff down. It has a cold weired feeling.

Well the wife just gave me the 3rd degree no more MEK based paint so I will be using water based from now on.
