Just talked to Ranger Boats in Arkansas. They said that it sounds as if my axle is out of alignment. Does anyone know where I can get this done in the Plano area? Have a 481 Ranger, '90 model, single axle trailer purchased brad new. I have had all kinds of problems with this trailer...broken springs, tires throwing tread, tires wearing crazy. Has anyone else had this problem? cmeans

try Roadrunner in Lewisville
Also you if it is a round axle it could be bent.

Charles, do a search for tire ware. There is a listing for a place in Plano and a listing for doing it yourselve.

I've been waiting for three weeks now for a replacement trailer for an 04', 4500# single axle trailer.

I bought the boat in November of last year and noticed that the curb side tire does not fit in the fender equally on the front and back side.

I've not had a wreck, hit a curb or had anything happen to break anything. There is no obvious damage. I've taken measurenents and determined the axle is 1/2 inch out of square with the frame. "Sam" said it probably shipped from the factory that way....

Thank God I caught it before it went out of warranty.......but this three week wait is testing my brand loyalty.

I suggest you raise enough cain and go high enough and see what happens.....my bet is they occasionally mess a few of these up.
