in about 2 weeks im set up to go on my first guided trip on Sam Rayburn. Me and my brother are taking Lynn Atkins bass class to try to learn some new fishing techniques. Right now I only really have confidence in spinnerbaits, rattle traps, and Senko's hopefully after the trip I will have more cinfidence in jigs and other stuff. Anyway do any of you have any good tips for someone who has never been on a guided trip before? I dont want to be his worst client ever

You will enjoy the trip. It is the guide's job to see if you have an enjoyable day, not your job to see that the guide has a good client. Just show upon time with a smile on your face is the best advise I have for you.

1. take some raingear - you never know. 2. talk to the guide ahead of time, communicate what you want to accomplish on the trip. it sounds like you've already done that. 3. listen to what the guide tells you. 4. respect his equipment - treat it better than your own. 5. keep an open mind, and ask questions as to what and why he has you doing things a certain way or why he is fishing an area in the manner he is. 6. have fun!

Good luck, catch a bunch and let us know how it goes. I hear that's a great lake.

I have never had a bad guide trip. Every guide I have hired has been really good and seems to want to teach the client.
Just be open minded and have fun

Do what your guide tells you to do.
The number one mistake a person makes is going into it with a preset mind condition to throw their favorite lure, or not try something new.
They hired the guide for a reason, so they need take the opportunity to learn.
