i've read you can put a packet of coffee creamer(sweet n low) in your tank and that will get rid of the foam...but thats not working for me. Any ideas?

sweet and low ????? I use coffee mate creamer.. non flavored of course Sounds like maybe your using too much.. i only put a little sprinkle in and its makes all the foam dissapear. or you can buy a $7 bottle of foam away that will last a fraction of the time asd creamer and does the same thing

I have found some foam remover in Walmart in the swimming pool supplys area that was just a few bucks and in a much larger container than the foam off, this was a couple years ago, works just the same as foam off and many times better than saltine crackers or creamer.

Foam is caused by the ammonia, scales and other impurities in the tank. I empty about 2/3 of my tank then refill with fresh water.

Lower the number of shad in the tank, keep the fresh water pump cycling in fresh water if that is an option. Change out water frequently.
