Any one here ever use crawfish for bait when going to the coast. I have some that I froze in saltwater and I am thinking about using them during my next trip to corpus.

I have not but let us know how it works.

I got on a crawfish bite in the brackish canals around Lafitte LA one time for Redfish. But they were actually feeding on them at the time.

Anything that will feed on dead shrimp will feed on dead crawfish in saltwater...great for sheepshead, reds, black drum, croakers, southern & gulf kingfish (whiting) and sand/gulf trout. Probably would work on snapper offshore too since they'll feed on shrimp or crabs.

I am sure the hardheads will love'em.

Fish will eat anything that looks appetizing and smells appetizing. Have seen on the FLW tournament trail for reds using spinner baits to catch reds with.

A friend got into some big black drum using crawfish not too long ago.

Live works great for Reds and black drum.....Not too sure about dead?

I like my crawfish extra spicy with corn and potatoes on the side. Now if I can only figure out a way to get them off the hook without hookdog2 knowing about it.
