How bout us locals get a sand bass/ Hybrid tourney going at benbrook maybe twice a month or once a month on saturday mornins. Hopefully kids get involved.... Whats everyone think bout that!!!!

A few years ago Weekend Warrior held Thursday evening tourneys once a month -it was a blast and I met some great guys. In fact mwd (who I met fishing those tourneys) won the last tourney at Benbrook that XYZ held before the TXSBHA was formed. It was a lot of fun -- seems like it was $20 a boat, 60/40 payout for 1st/2nd, 5 fish limit, keep/clean your own fish, captains meeting at 5:45 pm  There ya go -- get after it. I am getting ready to take some guys from work out on Tuesdays and Thursdays...so I am about to get real busy.

MWD did win that tourney he really turned the heat on, pay out was 100% to him. He also won big fish. In additon to that the TSA folks attended and Randy ran a really good fry. I met most of the members of the Cornbread Mafia and others who I have not seen in a while. I crashed at Anton's camper and at least 5-6 people camped out it was a real success 18 boats if I remember correctly.

Yep I was there and had a good time at that tourney. I would definetly be interested in something like this.
