Thanks for all your thoughts. I really don't want to offend anyone.REALLY!!! But maybe your right, not the best time to take the kids fishing....unless off the main fishing spots! Thanks for those of you that were helpful. I appreciated it.

My boat holds four plus the Guide so I could accomodate several if anyone is interested.

Thanks!

I'm thinking about it. The things I would learn would give us an edge in our little "tournament" on Saturday. Don't worry it's not any high stakes competition, I don't think there are any prizes. Its just a way to encourage people to catch enough fish to feed the group Saturday night.

Fishing is always good, its the catching that varies.

Royce, I encountered schooling fish pushing shad up on the point where (I live) in the evenings, they have been showing up all week and are 'magnum' size and to my surprise are mostly female and full of egges. I was thinking that the sandies have already spawned ??? These fish are very aggressive and have the shad balled up in about 6 ft of water and will hit anything that hits the water, however I find the chart-glitter slabes that you prefer, to work very well pulled at a steady retrieve. I cleaned 25 fish the other night (all over the two pound size) and have all I want, so now I sit on the boathouse and watch them cut up the shade.

So if you need to get away from the crowd you might want to give it a shot down here one evening , there hasn't been a boat near them all week...

If you can't remember where I live let me know and I'll PM you.

bubblehead, what sub-division are you in? We have finished up our boat house in Azure Bay and are starting the slab for the house this week.

This will be my 5th year at this event. I hope the weather holds out, always a great time. As far as I know it's an open event.
