Went out for a short time just looking at a few things. Got back and slowed down near my boat house to go slow and you know that unbreakable shaft on the Minn Kota Troll Motors? Well I know for sure they are not unbreakable and now I am stuck with no trolling motor until I get this worked out. I can't even lift it out of the down position now.:(
Not happy here at all!

I am hoping for warranty, but who knows. The darn thing self deployed when I went over a small wave and was pulling back on the throttle at the same time.

Did you have the tie-down strap on it?

It doesn't have a tie down strap at all, but I will add some Velcro for next time.

Don't know if you are looking for someone to help you out but, I know that Boris in Ft Worth does Minn Kota warranty work. I just took my Motor Guide in for repair and they seem like an alright bunch of guys. Hey they even Have a signed Hank Williams photo on the wall...can't be all bad! I can give you directions if needed. Okie Bob

I found someone in Beaumont and that is far enough at 120 miles each way. The place here say they couldn't do it, but think they maybe just didn't want to. They would have had to order the parts and all.
Thanks anyway,
