That only makes me more interested in fishing it! Lol. Not too many small fish perhaps?

Boats and crowds don't sound any different then Emma, or would you say they are worse?

I imagine it depends what park you are fishing at too.

Travis has real interesting records. The Common is 20lbs, but other then Smallmouth Buffs, it also has records for Black Buffalo, River Carpsucker, and Grey Redhorse.

Plus, it's deep and cold hehe.

Travis is known as a pleasure lake, people choose to pleasure boat there much more than Emma. All the info I have found leads me to believe its much like Lewisville.

PB's:
Common: 30lbs
Mirror: 14lbs
Buffalo: 56lbs
White Amur:49lbs
Blue Cat: 32lbs
Yellow Cat: 34lbs

Starless,

Depends on how close you are to Hippie Holler! smile

Now that would be a great place for a fish-in. (For those that don't know, Hippie Holler is, or at least was, a nude beach. Lots of boats off of there during the season.)

Hmm...well that sounds irritating lol. But I still want to fish it. The park I'm looking at sounds good for a fish in, too. Arkansas Bend, supposed to be very beautiful and very isolated. Now, might still have lots of boat traffic, but could be great fishing too.

That is a very nice park. Travis is much crazier than LL. I was only on LL for about 3 years, but never thought twice about taking the boat out on the weekend. Travis I avoid from about May - Sept. just not worth the crowds. I have never seen the black buffalo or the redhorse, but you will catch fish in the mid 20's. Good catfish lake as well. Deep with lots of snags in many parts of the lake. It is also fun to jump off the cliffs smile.

We looked into fishing Hippie Hollow for the TCC. they said we could if we followed the rules of the resort... "Fish naked... show off your pole!"

Let's just have it at Fork no matter what...if we don't get the extra space, we'll all fish 1 rod and save room lmao.

everyone head out that weekend, and fish, and report back your results, call it scouting weekend. I have a great spot in mind.

Not a bad idea, Bret. Though it kind of eliminates the fish-in aspect and getting to fish with people we haven't seen in a while.

Still...Interesting, hehehe.

yes, but if *everyone* goes out, there'll be plenty of noise, and folks can jump in.

either that, or we all jump down and fish the river downtown Waco and say hi to Harold.
