hey nogeese
i'm a tennis pro so i know my sun protection
wide brim hat FOR SURE - as for suncreens - 2 formulas
the "baby" sun blocks use titanium dioxide and if it is good enough for a baby, then it is good enough for me - that stuff works - use 48 or higher - i have a bunch of banana boat "baby magic" - use to be sponsored by them
also, there is a new neutrogena spf 85 with helioplex - you come back whiter than when you left - it works good
i'm ready to go with you sometime

Down in Florida, I have seen the guides/fisherman wear (and I have seen this on television as well) a stocking looking thing that covers your face, neck, ears. They are taking the sun and threat of cancers very seriously down there, and it seems to work for them, but I wouldn't suggest walking into a bank . Not certain about the name, but they use them. I noticed them sold in a bait-n-tackle store in Tampa, and almost purchased one.

They are called SunMasks - about $25.00 Most Florida fishermen and guides are using them... Cheaper that lot's of $8 sun screen.... I hate it when the sunscreen gets on the part of my nose so my sunglasses slip down or it gets in my eyes... I have been thinking about getting a mask for those really bright long summer days that I always get cooked in... http://uptownanglerstore.com/patagonia-sun-mask.html

gottabefishn,
You buy one and try it out. Let me know how it works. It still looks HOT to me. If they aren't too hot, I could get one for my bald head!!!! And my neighbor Texasredneck70 could use one for his chrome-dome too. His would have to be for a XXXL head!!!!

They are known as buffs. You can buy them on the net at www.buffwear.com or at www.basspro.com or do a search for buffs the original headwear. I have one and just ordered 3 more of the high uv models for fishing. The high uv models are made of coolmax and screen 95% of the uv rays. Almost all the guides in Florida wear them. If you see something around the neck of a guide on tv, likely it is a buff that they have pulled down for the camera.
